LAUNCH VERSION · LAST UPDATED AUGUST 2026

This is a plain-language launch version written to be read, not skimmed. It will be replaced by a counsel-reviewed document as the product matures; we will notify account holders by email before any material change takes effect. If something here is unclear, ask us before relying on it.

1. What MarginFuse is

MarginFuse connects your revenue data (via Stripe) with your AI usage metadata to show profitability by customer, plan and feature, and - if you choose to activate protection - to evaluate policies against future AI requests. You integrate it into your own application via our SDK and API.

2. Fail-open, and what we do not promise

The product is designed to fail open: if MarginFuse is unreachable or slow, your application’s requests proceed unchanged. That is a design commitment, not an uptime guarantee - we do not currently offer a formal SLA. Numbers labeled as estimated or projected are exactly that: our best calculation from the data available, not a warranty of financial outcome. Decisions about your pricing and your customers remain yours.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your account credentials and API keys confidential; rotate a key if you suspect exposure.
  • Only connect a Stripe account and send usage data that you are entitled to share with us.
  • Do not send us prompt or response content, or any end-customer personal data beyond identifiers.
  • Do not attempt to access other workspaces’ data or to disrupt the service.

4. Plans, billing and cancellation

The free tier provides monitoring and dry-run evidence with no time limit. Paid plans (currently Indie $29/month and Pro $99/month) unlock live protection and are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time: live enforcement stops safely, your workspace returns to the free tier, and historical data is retained under free-tier retention - we warn you before anything ages out. A failed payment never immediately disables active fail-open protection; we notify you and allow time to fix it.

5. Your data and deletion

Your workspace data stays isolated and remains yours. You can revoke the Stripe connection and API credentials at any time, and you can delete a project or workspace after a confirmation that spells out exactly what is removed and what minimal billing records we must keep for our own legal and accounting obligations. See the Privacy Policy for what we collect and what we never collect.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, MarginFuse’s liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for provider costs your application incurs - the product reduces the risk of runaway AI spend but cannot eliminate it, and dry-run mode by definition changes nothing.
